Obstetrics
- Specialised in instrumental vaginal delivery and presented papers at the MOGS conference on role of forceps in modern obstetrics.
- Pioneered the field of epidural analgesia in obstetrics in the western suburbs of Mumbai in 1985.
- Supervised the High Risk Ante Natal Clinic at a tertiary hospital.
- Emergency and complicated cases transferred from private nursing homes were accepted and handled.
- Established protocols for emergency obstetric practice in the labour room.
Gynaecology
- Trained with some of the best vaginal surgeons in the country.
- Performed most gynaecological operations, both abdominal and vaginal, over the past three decades.
- Major gynaecological surgery performed for colleagues at the hospital due to expertise.
Endoscopy
- 1993 - Trained in Gynaecological Endoscopy, Royal Free Hospital, London, UK.
- Invited as faculty and operating surgeon for several workshops in Mumbai.
- Team leader, Endoscopic Surgery at Holy Family Hospital, Bandra and Holy Spirit Hospital, Andheri.
- 8 to 10 major hysteroscopic and laparoscopic cases per week.
- All major laparoscopic procedures including retroperitoneal sling operations done on a regular basis.
As Senior Honorary Consultant with skills and experience to handle complicated cases and access to two large hospitals, referrals for emergency and complicated cases from surrounding nursing homes and government hospitals have been successfully handled.
